Baby Peanut Update!

So, I just realized that I haven't updated this blog in a long, long time!
Baby Peanut is doing well. I have been on bedrest since February 29th and we stayed with Mike's parents until about 2 weeks ago. Being home with the kids by myself during the day obviously makes bedrest a little harder but it's been going really well!
This last Friday when I was checked I measured at 3+ cm dilated which was a slight change from the Tuesday before but not enough to be too worried about. It's actually kind of amazing to me because by this time with George I was already at 4 cm - and I haven't gotten there yet this time!
I did go into Labor and Delivery on Tuesday because I was having some contractions but they weren't enough to change anything so I was able to go home.
I will be 35 weeks on Wednesday and the doctor said that I could go off my Terbutaline (contraction medication) at 36 weeks. So just over a week until that which is exciting to me! MY doctor has also been doing a test called a Fetal Fibernectin Test that determines whether or not you're going to go into labor within 2 weeks. The one that I had done just over a week ago came back positive! That would put me at having the baby by this coming Friday. :) Although, when the test produces positive results it's about 50% accurate. So, we'll see!

Baby Bedrest

So, I had another doctor appointment last Friday - the 14th. My doctor checked my cervix and I had progressed to 2cm. So, she put me on Terbutaline to stop the contractions and I am continuing the Progesterone shots to stop pre-term labor. I am also on rather strict bedrest - meaning I am supposed to be mainly on my side, not sitting higher than a 45 degree angle and I can go to the bathroom and take a 10 minute shower!
I will be going back to the doctor weekly now too. She wants me to make it to 32 weeks for sure (I am 30 weeks tomorrow) and then idealy to 34 weeks. She told me the goal is to get to the middle of April and that would put me at almost 34 weeks.
We are continuing to stay with the Kapala's - bless them! We will probably end up being here until Mike is recovered from his hernia surgery or I am off bedrest - whichever comes first!

Home Again

Just wanted to let everyone know we (the kids and I) are back in MN! We fly home last Friday with Mike's aunt Libby and the kids did incredible considering everything. (We had to leave for the airport at 4:30am and missed our connecting flight!)
It was such a wonderful blessing to have been in NC as long as we were! Both Mike and I are so thankful for his aunt and uncle and their willingness to share their home with us. The kids and I did end up coming back early because I was finally able to see a doctor down there and it turns out that at just over 27 weeks I had started to dilate. So I flew home early with Libby and I see my doctor here on Friday! I'll know more about the bedrest situation then but until then I am on bedrest.
We are staying at the Kapala's right now because of that and they are helping with the kids. It's a HUGE help!
